Finally, greenery that I won't kill. Watercolor and black pen.
Finally, something green that I won't kill.
The time is now
The time is now. When God impresses on us to do something, we will find joy and freedom in it. Don't delay, the time is now.
This phrase from a Gungor song entitled Beautiful Things has meant a lot to me during my darkest times with a chronic condition. When I have felt alone, forgotten, or forsaken by God, I sang these lyrics over and over again:
All this pain I wonder if I'll ever find my way? I wonder if my life could really change at all? All this earth Could all that is lost ever be found? Could a garden come up from this ground at all?
You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of the dust You make beautiful things You make beautiful things out of us
Don't fight it; embrace your inner nerd. Being a nerd rocks. Nerds rule the world!
LORD, show us your glory. We want to see you. We see you in nature, in the simple beauty and complexity of a sunflower. Show us your glory all around and in our lives, we pray.

Ni zan je (I must go)
This watercolor flag of Nigeria inside of Africa has hand lettering in the Hausa language. The phrase means "I must go with Jesus anywhere".
In Nigeria, as in many locations around the world, there are believers who are persecuted for following Christ. This song is a declaration of faith in spite of that reality.
I must go with Jesus anywhere
No matter the roughness of the road
I must go, I must go
How do you say thank you to a friend that helps with a sewing project?
With this punny watercolor card, of course.

Jesus. He doesn't let our suffering or pain be wasted. We can let go, surrender our crushed hearts and spirits to him, and he will allow what was crushed to be a fragrance that the world can enjoy and as a result be drawn to him.
If you're a Baylor student, fan, or alumni, this is a way to express beauty.
